Tarot cards have been used for divination since the 17th – 18th centuries. The tarot card deck contains 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana cards. Minor Arcana cards, which consist of 4 suites (Wands, Cups, Swords, and Coins), reveal little secrets of our routine. Such cards represent how ordinary things affect our daily life. Unlike Major Arcana cards, they show nothing extraordinary and life-changing.

Within these 22 cards, a singular narrative unfolds, with The Fool embarking as the protagonist. His journey through life, marked by growth, learning, and various encounters, is mirrored in the subsequent 21 cards. This collective narrative encapsulates the achievements, obstacles, and teachings we encounter, guiding us towards becoming fully realized individuals by our journey’s conclusion.

Major Arcana tarot cards, on the contrary, are considered the most influential cards in the deck. They are also called Trump cards. The first card in this group is a zero “Fool” card, and the last, the twenty-first, is the “World”. All 22 cards can be interpreted as Fool’s life journey. What lessons and tests he will face depends on the pulled Major Arcana cards. A client, who ordered a tarot reading session, plays the role of a Fool who also wants to learn lessons and finds what obstacles await him/her.

The events described in this type of tarot card are generalized, describing situations that can happen to each of us. However, these situations reflect significant life shifts that may alter our future.

Major Arcana tarot card meanings can be used to interpret plausible scenarios in the long run.
